S1500 Slipform Paver
Since 1983, when Guntert & Zimmerman introduced its first four-track mainline slipform paver, the S1500 model has undergone continuous improvements. G&Z strives for perfection in its products so end users gain a distinct productive advantage and low operating costs required in today's extremely competitive paving market. The S1500 paver is designed to be the paver of choice for high quality, multi-lane concrete paving (even with multiple profile breaks and with or without a Dowel Bar Inserter) under the strictest smoothness requirements. The S1500 is available with the productivity features found in other G&Z paver models such as 90 degree steering / counter rotation capability to speed maneuvering on site and transport, and width change. The S1500 comes with the same robust paving kit common to all G&Z paver models with optional TeleEnd telescoping paving kit end sections to speed width change. The S1500 power unit features an ultra-low emissions, quiet, fuel efficient, CAT C9.3B, 415 HP (309 kW) six-cylinder diesel engine which is US EPA Tier 4f / EU stage V compliant. The power unit design focuses on serviceability with emphasis on access to the pumps and filters. The diesel fuel tank and integral DEF tank are easily accessed off the end of the Power Unit.
The electrical and hydraulic / filtration systems feature the latest components to ensure long life, reliability and enhanced troubleshooting and monitoring of hydraulic circuits flow, pressure, and filter condition. The S1500's double telescopic tractor frame has the largest telescopic range in the industry from 18 to 42 ft. (5.5 to 12.8 m). The access walkways provided on both sides of the tractor frame are also telescopic. With bolt-in tractor frame, access walkway, and hose extensions, the S1500 tractor frame can extend out to 52.5 ft. (16 m).
