S850QB Slipform Paver
The S850QB (Quadra Bolster) Slipform Paver is designed to be your mainline paver of choice for all your concrete paving needs up to 41 ft. (12.5 m). The S850QB is agile and narrow profile enough for economic use on cut up urban and residential paving without sacrificing the weight, power, and structure required to produce award winning highway and thick airfield pavements. G&Z's innovative, telescopic Quadra Bolsters allow for two modes of paving: the "Extended Mode" for normal paving or the "Compressed Mode" for paving in tight confines where a short wheel base is advantageous. The "Compressed Mode" allows walking and steering onto a 10 ft. (3 m) wide removeable gooseneck trailer for load out. The S850QB is available with G&Z's industry leading productivity features such as AccuSteer, TeleEnd, JC Extenders and Hydraulic Clamping Pucks which dramatically reduce the time required for maneuvering on site, load out, as well as paving kit and tractor width change. The S850 power unit features an ultra-low emissions, quiet, fuel efficient, CAT C9.3B, 415 HP (309 kW) six-cylinder diesel engine which is US EPA Tier 4f / EU stage V compliant. The power unit design focuses on serviceability with emphasis on access to the pumps and filters. The diesel fuel tank and integral DEF tank are easily accessed off the end of the Power Unit enhancing operator visibility. The electrical and hydraulic / filtration systems feature the latest components to ensure long life, reliability and enhanced troubleshooting and monitoring of hydraulic circuits flow, pressure, and filter condition. The S850QB’s double telescopic tractor frame has a telescopic range from 12 to 26 ft. (3.65 to 7.92m) and with optional pin-in JC Extenders, the telescopic range increases from 18 to 34 ft. (5.5m to 10.36m) without the time consuming need to bolt-in tractor frame extensions or adding / disconnecting hydraulic hoses. With bolt-in tractor frame extensions, the maximum paving width can be extended to 41 ft. (12.5 m).
