S600 Slipform Paver
G&Z’s S600 Slipform Paver was the first “Hybrid” class paver in the industry bridging the gap between single and dual lane pavers. Its patented productivity features such as AccuSteer, Smartleg, VariWidth and TeleEnd redefined what maneuverability and mobility meant for a paver and dramatically reduced the time required to change width without sacrificing the same award winning performance advantages contractors have come to expect from G&Z's larger slipform pavers. The S600’s multi-purpose tractor frame is practical for shoulder, single lane and ramp paving while quickly and easily reconfiguring for dual lane city street, secondary roads, highway and airfield paving, as well as a wide range of other applications such as barrier wall, off-set paving and zero or minimum clearance paving. With its optimized tractor weight and utilizing G&Z's time tested and rugged paving kit design, the S600 is capable of achieving excellent ride numbers on the toughest IRI and zero blanking band projects and along with G&Z’s famous edge quality. The S600 power unit features an ultra-low emissions, quiet, fuel efficient, CAT C7.1, 302 HP (225 kW) six-cylinder diesel engine which is US EPA Tier 4f / EU stage V compliant. The power unit design focuses on serviceability with emphasis on access to the pumps and filters. The diesel fuel tank and integral DEF tank are easily accessed off the end of the Power Unit enhancing operator visibility. The electrical and hydraulic filtration systems feature the latest components to ensure long life, reliability and enhanced troubleshooting and monitoring of hydraulic circuits flow, pressure, and filter condition. The S600 features a double telescopic tractor frame, telescopic access walkway, and hose hinge system for a telescopic range of 8 to 22 ft. (2 5 - 6.75 m) the widest range in its class. With bolt-in tractor frame extensions, the maximum paving width can be extended to 34 ft. (10 m).
