Guntert & Zimmerman Const. Div., Inc. (G&Z) has successfully pioneered innovative equipment for the concrete highway, airport and canal construction industry for close to 60 years. In 1946 G&Z pioneered the use of mechanized, high production canal construction machinery. This development led to the first successful crawler track mounted, concrete Slipform Paver with automatic line and grade control for highways in 1956. G&Z pioneered use of the concrete Slipform Paver in the U.S.A. and Western Europe starting in 1963.. |

Around the world, G&Z Concrete Slipform Pavers can be found on most major concrete airport, highway and canal construction projects where only the best will do. G&Z Concrete Slipform Pavers have placed miles of airport aprons, runways and taxiways. As early as 1963, G&Z pioneered the use of Slipform Pavers on thick concrete airport pavements at Orly Field in Paris. |

In 1972 on the Dallas Ft. Worth Airport, U.S.A., G&Z Slipform Pavers were successfully used to place concrete runways at 50' (15M) wide in one pass at a rate of over 1200 cyh (920M 3 /hr). Most recently, a G&Z Slipform Paver was used to pave concrete aprons on Hong Kong's new Chap Lap Kok Airport. That project was recently named "Project of the Millennium" by Engineering News Record . |
| G&Z equipment has been used in the construction of nearly 70% of major concrete highways in the Western United States, as well as a major portion of concrete motorways in Western Europe. In 1995, a G&Z Slipform with automatic Dowel Bar Inserter was used on the huge 407 Toll Road Project around Toronto, Canada. Recently, G&Z's canal construction machinery was used on the Ghazi Barotha Power Channel Project in Pakistan. These machines were the world's largest canal machines ever built. Engineering News Record named this "Best Project" in 1999 for the design and construction of these massive machines.
G&Z's goal and commitment are to build the most versatile, durable and maintenance free equipment in the industry. Today, Guntert & Zimmerman offers a complete line of high performance, state of the art concrete highway, airport and canal construction equipment.
It is our hope that these machines can make you more competitive and save you time and
money on your present and future projects. |
